Lexus just presented a short video in its "Amazing in Motion" series unveiling a luxury hoverboard that will be available for sale in the not-too-distant future.

This slide has been in development over the last 18 months. In this video, no one actually ride the Lexus Hoverboard; it still remains a mystery on how it works.

Combining liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets, the slide uses magnetic levitation technology to achieve extraordinary frictionless motion.

Generally, maglev device requires a special metal track to ride on. But Lexus Hoverboard appears to show the slide on regular ground in video. We have to wait for more updated information from Lexus to see if it is true in the coming weeks.
